ABOUT US
"Started in 1959 by the Comboni Missionary Sisters initially as a
maternity home, St. Mary's Hospital Lacor also known as Lacor
Hospital is the largest faith based private not-for-pro t hospital in
Uganda. The Hospital is located in Gulu City, northern Uganda
about 6 km to the west along the highway to South Sudan. It is a
complex comprising of the hospital main(482 beds), St. Mary’s
Hospital Lacor Health Training Institute ,three peripheral health
centre IIIs ,each with 24beds located in Amuru, Opit and Pabbo and
a logistic o ce in Mbuya-Kampala. The Hospital belongs to the
Catholic Church, under the Archdiocese of Gulu. For years, it has
served the people of Uganda and beyond and continues to o er
a ordable comprehensive, quality health services to the people
including training of health professionals. Total patient contacts in
the year exceed 250,000”.
