We congratulate Zaddock Associates for the produc�on of this year’s seventeenth edi�on of
the annual Uganda Healthcare Directory. The publica�on con�nues to provide a crucial
reference resource for the general public to cross check and be aware of Health Units and
medical prac��oners who are duly licensed to operate and prac�ce within the current period
and provides contact details to enable accessibility.

Meanwhile, we would like to alert and direct our prac��oners to our WCEA and UMDPC
Mobile App where they can enhance their accredita�ons and cer�fica�ons at their own �me
and pace. Our online pla�orms con�nue to be made available for prac��oners to conduct
their licensure registra�on seamlessly and conveniently. Prac��oners are informed that the
period for their Annual Prac�cing Licenses(APL) commences every 1st of November and
concludes on the 31st of December. The deadline for new APLs is no longer 31st March of the
subject year, but 31st December of the previous year. Kindly be guided accordingly.

We would also like to make Private Health units aware of the recently launched
Self-Regulatory Quality Improvement System (SQIS). This system is geared to assist health
units make self-assessments of guided standard parameters so as to ensure their end-users
are guaranteed quality and safe healthcare services from their facili�es. Feel free to reach out
to us on our online portals for more informa�on on this very important tool.
