UGANDA MEDICAL

ASSOCIATION U.M.A.

The Uganda Medical Association (U.M.A.) is an
association that brings together 7,000 medical UMA PARTNERS
doctors in Uganda and abroad. Our twin missions are African Centre for Global Health and Social
welfare and Professionalism of our members in order to Transformation

U.M.A operates with the Annual General Assembly that meets
once a year at the same time with Grand Doctors Conference as MBN Clinical Laboratories
the decision-making body, and the National Executive AMREF Health Africa
Committee as a unit that ensures daily running of the association. UNICEF
This is supported by the National Governance Council. UMA has World Health Organization
14 branches to date and these ensure regional presence and World Medical
implementation of various activities to meet the overall objective. Association

All Doctors are encouraged to register for membership as well as
subscribe annually to ensure smooth running. As it’s mandatory to be a
U.M.A member for one to join the SACCO, members are encouraged to
join the U.M.A SACCO, the nancial arm established to enhance the
welfare and nancial independence of all Doctors in the Country.

Other key events held are the UMA wellness activities as well as Routine and
Regular Accredited CPD sessions conducted by the branches and central
team.
